Philanthropy Session Afternoon Workshops
Workshop 1: Philanthropy in Complex, Multi-generational Families
Facilitators: Sokol Shtylla, Daria Teutonico and Nick Tedesco, National Center for Family Philanthropy
This session brings to life the Philanthropy in Complex Multigenerational Families report by exploring how giving transforms as families grow. Participants will learn about the common developmental phases of philanthropic families and the associated challenges and opportunities in balancing individual interests and the commitments of the collective family. In this interactive workshop participants will have the opportunity to explore core questions that can assist families to engage with this topic.
Workshop 2: Engaging the Next Generation in Philanthropy
Facilitator: Stefanie Borsari, 21/64
Facilitated by 21/64, a premier advising practice that specializes in next generation engagement, this workshop will provide an interactive experience for participants to clarify the legacy, values and vision that drive their philanthropic decisions, community leadership and conversations with family. Participants will have the opportunity to begin to explore their own philanthropic identity and discuss how to engage the next generation in family philanthropy.

Les Misérables at Tuacahn Amphitheatre (Optional)
Enjoy a showing of one of Broadway’s finest musicals, Les Misérables, in the exquisite red rock setting of Tuacahn Outdoor Amphitheater. Tuacahn Amphitheater is an approximate 10-minute drive from Black Desert Resort. Please plan to be at Tuacahn by 7:00 pm. Run time is approximately three hours, including one intermission. Join us in the VIP lounge during intermission for snacks and drinks.
